History repeats its Injustice

by | May 27, 2021

The Holocaust that was perpetrated during WWII was one of the worst massacres throughout history. Not a week goes by (in North America) without hearing, reading, or seeing about it on the radio, in the newspapers, or on an ad. This is only normal, a denomination that was persecuted because of their race/religion cannot and must not forget about this, and everyone should learn from this ordeal.

Yet, the direct descendants of the people that survived (or not) this terrible piece of history are committing the same crimes. The Zionist state is evicting Palestinians from their homes, stealing their land, building illegal settlements on it, bombing civilians indiscriminately, killing women and children… What astonishes me the most is when supporters of Israel say that the Holocaust is not comparable to anything. You know what, they’re right, the Holocaust lasted a decade and what’s going on in Palestine has been going on for over 70 years!!!

As the saying goes:

“Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”

Winston Churchill

The only problem is that those who are doomed at the moment are not those who are repeating it, they are suffering at the hands of those who are repeating it.

Unfortunately, this is not a new situation. This has been going on for centuries. The pretext for the Crusades was the desecration of the church of the Holy sepulchre that was ordered by an idiotic Caliph, which led to two hundred years of destruction and tens of thousands of civilians being massacred in the name of Christendom. The Mongol tribes were continuously attacked by invaders until they became strong enough and they set the world ablaze killing and pillaging everything in their way. Colonial powers paused their European squabbles only to seize land and people on all other continents. Nazi Germany wanted to avenge the insults inflicted upon them after WWI, so they invaded the European continent and perpetrated the Holocaust along the way. The Soviet Union came to be after the overthrow of the tsar who enslaved his people for his greatness, the Politburo did the same in the name of an ideology. The United States of America gained liberty from Great Britain and freed their constituents only to crush anyone that does not follow their international hegemony.

So what is going on in Palestine is nothing new, injustice is most often going to be perpetrated by the strongest. But if history has taught us anything, is that history does not look fondly on injustice. Personally, I am not concerned about the eyes of history, I am only interested in what pleases Allah. In this, this is what Allah has to say on the matter of injustice:

“O My slaves, I have prohibited Myself injustice; and have made oppression unlawful for you, so do not oppress one another.”

Sahih Muslim

Probability, you won’t Get the Best of Me! – Scientific Proofs in the Quran

Probability, you won’t Get the Best of Me! – Scientific Proofs in the Quran

If anyone is a betting man, he knows that most of the time he will lose; it is a question of numbers. Winning every time is improbable and practically impossible. When flipping a coin, you have one chance out of two of getting it right. 50%, not bad; but repeat it four times straight; not too confident, are you?

Let’s transpose that example to the prophet Muhammad; he got every single verifiable (with our limited knowledge to date) phenomenon right. Not only he got them right, but most of them are also explained; not just enunciated or left for interpretation. Let’s say there are about 20 scientific/natural phenomenon (Actually, more have been mentioned and others left out since a multitude of authors have done a better job than me explaining them. Plus, 20 seems like a pretty round number, and we don’t want to sound boastful either) that were elucidated 1400 years ago, by an illiterate Arab that had no aspirations to science whatsoever… When you do the math: ½ at the power 20 is ½ x ½ x½ x ½ x ½ x ½ x ½ x ½ x ½ x ½ x ½ x ½ x½ x ½ x ½ x ½ x ½ x ½ x ½ x ½. That gives you the possibility of 1/1 048 576 of getting it right. That is less than one in a million probability; becoming less and less a betting man…Keep in mind, considering that the questioning is in a yes or no format; true or false to a given question (without formulating the solution and adding all the explanation that comes with it in the Quran and Hadith).

The thing is, it is not because the prophet Muhammad was an expert in astronomy, geology, chemistry, nuclear physics, biology, botany, entomology, oceanology, or even historical science that he got it right all the time. It is because the only thing he got right out of all of this is that he wholeheartedly believed in Allah. All these, verses, signs, scientific phenomenon were not explained or tackled by the prophet Muhammad; they were brought forth by Allah, the All-Knowing.

And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record.

Surah Al-Anam (6 – 59)
